LEGACY OF MUSIC (DIVINE)

LEGACY OF MUSIC is a project of digital collages I made in 2023 to honor my love for these bands, I grew up listening to these musicians and creating this digital art
has allowed me to bring my love for the sounds to visual reality.
Harris Glenn Milstead, known by his stage name Divine, was indeed a remarkable and iconic performer. Born in 1945, Divine rose to prominence as a key figure in the films of director John Waters, particularly in the early 1970s and 1980s. Divine's larger-than-life persona, bold performances, and fearless embrace of his unconventional appearance challenged societal norms and helped pave the way for greater acceptance of diversity in popular culture.
Divine's most famous collaboration with John Waters was in the cult classic film "Pink Flamingos" (1972), where he portrayed the character Divine, described as "the filthiest person alive." The film, along with others like "Female Trouble" (1974) and "Polyester" (1981), showcased Divine's unique blend of humor, audacity, and charisma.
